In a colourful ceremony that blended culinary innovation with cultural celebration, Crown Flour Mill (CFM) Limited, one of the key players in Nigeria’s wheat milling and pasta industry, under Olam Agri, introduced its newest product—Crown Thick Spaghetti—to the delight of distributors, partners, and stakeholders gathered in Abuja.
The recent launch represents more than just a new addition to the shelf—it is a response to consumer demand for thicker, heartier spaghetti strands that hold up well in beloved local recipes. From Jollof spaghetti to stir-fries, Crown Thick Spaghetti is poised to become a new household staple.
“This is more than just a product launch,” said Mr. Siddharth Suri, Vice President and Business Head at Crown Flour Mill. “It is a statement of intent. We are unveiling new possibilities—better products for our consumers and stronger tools for our distributors.”
The new product, designed with versatility and satisfaction in mind, was warmly welcomed by CFM’s network of distributors, whose support was central to the unveiling. Their enthusiastic reception not only underlined the market’s readiness but also reaffirmed CFM’s commitment to responsive product development.
Backed by CFM’s investments in local wheat farming through its Seeds for the Future initiative, Crown Thick Spaghetti aligns with Nigeria’s food security agenda and CFM’s mission to deliver affordable, fortified, and nutritious foods across the country.
“Crown Thick Spaghetti was developed with versatility in mind,” noted Mr. Bola Adeniji, General Manager and Head of Marketing at Olam Agri in Nigeria. “It is perfect for rich sauces or Nigerian favourites. It fills a noticeable gap in the market, and the early consumer feedback has been nothing short of outstanding.”
Adding star power to the occasion, Mr. Ali Jita, Northern music icon and brand Ambassador, spoke glowingly of the new offering: “It is not just another spaghetti—it is a quality experience. It does not stick, it is filling, and it tastes amazing. I am proud to endorse it.”
The event also featured prominent distributors such as Alhaji Umar Buba, Alhaji Murtala Abdullahi, and Alhaji Namadi Inumu, who commended CFM’s consistency, strategic partnerships, and keen market insight.
Mr. Nitin Mehta, Managing Director and Business Head of Crown Flour Mill, placed the product in the broader frame of national food security: “This product aligns with the federal government’s New Hope Agenda for food sustainability. We are committed to innovation and local production that meets the needs of Nigerian families.”
