Zenith Bank has once again heralded the festive season with its 18th annual Light-up ceremony, transforming Ajose Adeogun Street and Roundabout in Victoria Island, Lagos, into a dazzling yuletide wonderland.
The event, held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, was officiated by the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive of Zenith Bank Plc, Dr. Adaora Umeoji.
This iconic Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative has become a hallmark of Zenith Bank’s commitment to fostering community spirit. The elaborate Christmas decorations along Ajose Adeogun Street, home to the bank’s corporate Headquarters, have earned a reputation as a major tourist attraction, drawing families, friends, and social media enthusiasts from across the globe.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Umeoji reflected on the tradition’s impact: “Over the years, Zenith Bank has transformed this street into a breathtaking yuletide wonderland. These decorations are not just a celebration of Christmas but a reflection of our unwavering commitment to community and sustainability. As we light up the street tonight, we celebrate love, kindness, generosity, and the spirit of humanity that Christmas represents.”
She also expressed gratitude to the Lagos State Government for its support and commended Quantum Markets, the creative minds behind the decorations, for their innovation and consistency.
Zenith Bank’s CSR initiatives highlight its dedication to economic, cultural, and social development. Beyond financial performance, the bank emphasises its role in fostering inclusive growth, environmental improvement, and societal well-being.
