PrimeTech Design and Engineering Nigeria Limited, a subsidiary of Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, has reinforced its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) by donating educational materials, mosquito nets, and renovating classrooms at LEA Primary School, Karmo, Sabo 11, Angauwa Hausawa, in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
The donations and renovations were met with gratitude from the school’s staff and pupils. Head Teacher, Mr. Jonathan Auta, and Assistant Head Teacher, Mrs. Victoria Hassan Jonathan, expressed profound appreciation for the gesture.
Mrs. Jonathan noted: “This day is a great day. We were not expecting things like this. But God has made it happen. On behalf of the entire school, we appreciate the company for their gifts of love. The children and teachers are deeply grateful.”
A pupil, Caleb, echoed similar sentiments, thanking PrimeTech and Julius Berger for the renovated classrooms, which he described as a vital improvement to their learning environment.
During the event, members of PrimeTech’s team shared motivational career talks to inspire the pupils. Finance Manager of Prime Tech, Mr. Mustapha Abubakar, urged them to consider careers in engineering, emphasising the value of hard work and education in achieving success. Architect Oluwateniola Sonuga encouraged the children to aim high in their academic pursuits, particularly in architecture and engineering.
Speaking on behalf of Julius Berger, Head of Corporate Communication, Mr. James Agama, commended the school’s teachers for their dedication to the large number of pupils under their care. He highlighted the company’s continued commitment to supporting education in its host communities, stating: “We are excited to be part of this initiative, ensuring the children have a comfortable place to learn. We hope to see some of these pupils become our future engineers and architects.”
PrimeTech’s Technical Adviser-MEP, Mr. Markus Klotz, also congratulated the children and encouraged them to enjoy the enhanced learning environment.
PrimeTech emphasised that its CSR initiatives aim to positively impact the communities in which it operates. Mr. Abubakar stated: “Corporate Social Responsibility for us means giving back to the community. This initiative reflects our dedication to building a sense of belonging and contributing meaningfully to society.”
