Dr. Ike Neliaku, President of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), has been appionted to the Africa Regional Council of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management.
This appointment is a testament to the NIPR’s outstanding initiatives in shaping public relations practice in Nigeria and beyond. According to Prof. Justin Green, President of the Global Alliance, the NIPR is an “invaluable resource” to the global community, and this appointment recognises the institute’s leading role in promoting public relations in Africa.
Dr. Neliaku will be joined on the Africa Regional Council by other esteemed professionals, including Irene Lungu Chipili, President of the Zambia Institute of Public Relations and Communication (ZIPRC), and Dr. Wole Adamolekun, Elizade University, Nigeria.
Others include, Dr. Rene Benecke, Public Relations Institute of Southern Africa (PRISA); Noella Mutanda, Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK); Dr. Omoniyi Ibietan of the Africa Public Relations Association (APRA), and Peter Mutie, Peterson Integrated Communications, Kenya.
The Africa Regional Council is tasked with supporting and guiding the Global Alliance on developmental programs for the African continent. This appointment is a significant milestone for the NIPR and a recognition of its contributions to the public relations ecosystem.
