First Ally Capital Limited has announced significant leadership changes, effective from January 1, 2025, reinforcing its commitment to innovation, growth, and exceptional customer service. The financial services group, based in Lagos, appointed four senior executives into key roles:
Mrs. Olumayowa Ogunwemimo has been promoted to Deputy Group Managing Director, while continuing to serve as the Managing Director of First Ally Asset Management (FAAM), a position she has held since 2020. She brings over two decades of expertise in financial planning, investment advisory, and asset management. Her career includes leadership roles at First Securities Discount House (now FSDH Merchant Bank) and FSDH Asset Management. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and holds a degree in Accounting from Obafemi Awolowo University.
Mr. Kayode Abobarin, previously the Group’s Chief Finance Officer, has been appointed Executive Director, Corporate Services. With more than 15 years of experience across banking, financial services, oil & gas, and consulting, he has been a core part of First Ally since 2014. His new responsibilities will include overseeing financial control, treasury, strategic investments, and IT.
Mrs. Edwina Ugwu has been appointed Executive Director, Clients Coverage & Sales at FAAM, where she will spearhead efforts to enhance client engagement and deliver innovative wealth management solutions. Before this role, she was Senior Vice President at FAAM, managing the Abuja office and overseeing regional operations. She holds an Executive MBA from the University of Lancaster and a law degree from Enugu State University of Science & Technology.
Mrs. Adetola Adeleye has been appointed Managing Director of First Ally Trustees Limited, where she will focus on driving the growth and market positioning of the business. She, who previously served as the Group’s Head of Legal Services and Company Secretary, has been recognised for her contributions to corporate governance. She holds degrees from Obafemi Awolowo University and the University of Pennsylvania Law School and was honoured with the ESQ Nigerian Rising Star Award in 2022.
These appointments demonstrate First Ally Capital’s ongoing commitment to empowering its leadership and fostering growth within its diverse business segments.
